Gypsy Moth Catches in Washington
State

Here is a list of gypsy moth catches for 2002. It is unknown whether
these moths are European/American or Asian strains. If even one Asian gypsy
moth is trapped, it sets in motion a response out of all proportion to
the threat - a square mile around the catch will be aerially sprayed with
Foray48B 3 times. Read about what happened in Ballard/Magnolia in 2000

Results for genetic testing of the moths will be released by the WSDA
in December 2002 - but they will have already made their plans for any
spraying in 2003 by then.
